Suqsphere Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Suqsphere ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our mobile and web application (the "Service"), which provides both social networking and e-commerce marketplace functionalities focused on the Halal community.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information directly from you, automatically through your use of the Service, and sometimes from third-party sources.
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Data: Username, password (hashed), email address, first name, last name, and profile picture.
- Social Content: Posts, comments, likes, reactions, direct messages, and group participation history.
- E-commerce Data:
- Seller Information: Products listed, inventory, pricing, and currency of sale.
- Buyer Information: Purchase history, shipping address, and billing information (payment card details are processed securely by third-party payment processors, not stored by us).
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage and Activity Data: Information about how you use the Service, including the products you view, items added to your cart, groups you visit, and friends you interact with.
- Log and Device Data: IP address, device type, operating system version, app version, and unique device identifiers.
- Real-time Communication Data (Chat): Timestamps, conversation participants, and connection status (online/offline) for our WebSocket chat service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Service, personalize your experience, and ensure security.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We only share your information in the following circumstances:
- Between Buyers and Sellers: When a transaction is initiated, we share the buyer's shipping address and contact name with the seller to fulfill the order.
- With Payment Processors: We share transaction details (amount, currency, item description) with secure third-party payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, Paystack) to complete your purchase. We do not store your full card details.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or subpoena, or if we believe such action is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or that of our users.
4. Your Choices and Rights
- Access/Rectification: You can review and update your profile information (e.g., name, email) at any time through the Profile settings screen.
- Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account from the Suqsphere mobile app (see Section 5).
- Data Portability: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
5. Account Deletion Policy
- In-app deletion (primary method): You can permanently delete your account yourself in the Suqsphere mobile app. Open Settings, go to Account & data, then tap Delete accountโฆ and follow the prompts. You must type DELETE (in all caps) in the confirmation field and enter your current password to complete the request. When deletion succeeds, your account is removed and you will be signed out.
- Export your data first (optional): From the same Account & data screen you can download a copy of certain data associated with your account (for example posts, comments, and reels) before you delete, using Download my data.
- Email request (if you cannot use the app): If you are unable to use the mobile app, you may email support@suqsphere.com from the email address registered on your account. Use the subject line Account Deletion Request and include information we can use to verify your identity. We may ask follow-up questions before processing the request.
- What happens to your data: After a successful in-app deletion, your user account and associated personal content are removed from our active systems as part of that process. We may retain certain information for a limited time where required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal or regulatory obligations (for example, anonymized or aggregated records, or backups that are overwritten on a rolling basis).
